This new pump (P/N: F90000262) has been rated at an astonishing 400LPH on 13.5 Volt at 40PSI, higher than any other in-tank turbine pump on the market. This pump has been designed on the OEM proven 39mm armature that has been use for years in many OEM applications currently in use today. This armature coupled with the dual channel single stage turbine impeller allows this pump to function in today?s high pressure injection fuel systems as well as function exceptionally well in hot fuel handling. Please take note this pump is meant for modified vehicles with over 500HP, vehicles in which this pump is to be installed in should have upgraded supply and return fuel lines, upgraded pump wiring to support the increased amp draw, and upgrades to the vehicles fuel pressure regulator. This pump in NOT meant for use in a stock or lightly modified vehicle with less than 500HP, the use of this pump in that type of application will result in severe drivability issues and/or damage to the vehicle. To enable this higher volume output these new fuel pumps capable of 400-500LPH require a higher voltage and amperage than the lower volume pumps like the Walbro 255LPH HP 550AWHP Fuel Pump which only requires our Ninja Performance 30 Amp Fuel Pump Hotwire Kit.This fuel pump will perform at its maximum if supplied with the voltage and current it needs. The Ninja Performance 30 Amp Hotwire Kit will power this high volume fuel pump but this pump will draw too much current and eventually overheat the relay and relay socket and the smaller gauge wires that are sufficient for the lower volume fuel pumps will not allow this higher volume pump to run at its full potential. As with any electric motor, running a fuel pump and demanding high output from it while using a power supply setup that cannot supply the required voltage or amperage shortens the life of the fuel pump. It also causes the fuel pump to heat up faster and to higher temperatures than if supplied with proper voltage and amperage. This heat is transferred to the fuel running thru the pump. Adding to this fuel heating issue, the higher volume fuel pumps cycle fuel from tank to fuel rails and back to tank faster than lower volume pumps. Return systems like the Mitsubishi 3000GT/Dodge Stealth return a large portion of fuel pumped to the fuel rails, via the fuel pressure regulator, looping fuel in this circuit thru a hot pump over and over. Heating up the fuel. Hot fuel increases the temperature of the air/fuel charge, increasing the risk of decreased power/performance and engine damaging detonation.
