Ninja Performance 3000GT Stealth FIAV Bypass Plate

The Ninja Performance Fast Idle Air Valve Bypass Plate allows you to remove those pesky Throttle Body Coolant Hoses from your Throttle Body without causing the annoying HIGH idle RPM once the engine is fully warmed up.

The FIAV, Fast Idle Air Valve, is located in the same aluminum block that the IAC/ISC is mounted in on the throttle body and is responsible for high idle RPM at cold startup to help the engine warm up as quickly as possible for better emissions, a warm engine runs cleaner than a cold one.

Now that these cars are 20 plus years old 85% of the FIAVs out there no longer operate correctly and often stick slightly open creating a constant vacuum leak and a high RPM idle that even the IAC can not correct.

Removing the pesky Throttle Body Coolant hoses that make maintenance work on the 6G72 DOHC such a pain is a great modification to any setup when you know you will be removing the plenum over and over for plug changes etc. But doing just the coolant hose delete causes the FIAV circuit to never get hot coolant and therefore it stays in cold startup mode, leaving you with a very high idle sometimes in the 1500-2000 RPM range, even after full warm up.

With the Ninja Performance FIAV Bypass Plate you can delete those Throttle Body Coolant Hoses AND maintain a normal 750rpm hot idle.

As a side benefit, removing the two FIAV Coolant Hoses removes two possible areas of coolant leaks.

You can add the Stainless Steel FIAV bolt kit and or the OEM FIAV Oring Seal to your Ninja performance Bypass Plate in the Options below.

A new FIAV Oring Seal, available below in Options, will seal the NP FIAV Bypass Plate to the Throttle Body. The OEM FIAV Cover Plate does not have the Oring Seal channel that the Throttle Body has and therefore you can NOT use an OEM FIAV Oring Seal on the NP FIAV Bypass Plate to OEM FIAV Cover Plate surfaces. You will need to use Silicone for this side of the NP FIAV Bypass Plate.
