Valve package includes 12 intake valves and 12 exhaust valves. Black Nitride Valves This is a hardening treatment that has been steadily growing in popularity over the last several years. These black Nitride coated valves feature harder surfaces and smoother finishes, providing less friction and subsequently longer life. Please see below for more benefits of our Black Nitride valves. The Black Nitride valves are Stainless Steel. INCONEL 751 - NICKEL BASE ALLOYS: This Nickel base alloy material is used for exhaust valves in engines that reach very high temperatures and its use is growing with the application of turbos and superchargers. The Inconel valves are made from a Nimonic 751 alloy which has better resistance to heat then stainless steel. The Inconel valves are only used on the exhaust side, it is the only side that it is needed to use a higher temperature alloy. The Stainless (Black Nitride) valve has an operating temperature of 1,460 F.
