A very common problem with the Mitsubishi 3000GT/Dodge Stealth is spark plug blowout at high boost. Spark blow out occurs when there is not enough spark energy at the spark plug to overcome the high cylinder pressures that occur at higher boost levels. This causes misfires and hesitations when you try to boost over 20psi even on new OEM coils and PTU and new spark plugs and plug wires as the spark plugs can keep a spark kernal from getting blow out. If your spark plugs, wires, coil pack and PTU are all in good condition and the tune is good, the issue is probably low voltage at the coil pack. The coils need the highest voltage they can get in order to supply the spark plugs with the highest energy spark possible. The trouble is with the stock wiring. When the positive battery voltage finally makes it through the engine harness to the coils, voltage has dropped up to 2 volts. This kit fixes that issue.
