As more and more OE manufacturers shift to aluminum bearings in OE engines for it's ability to deliver a highly reliable long lasting bearing, KING has introduced a new line of engine bearings designed to be the highest quality replacement bearings in the industry. KING BiMetal? engine bearings carry on the tradition and reputation that KING has built throughout the course of time. KING BiMetal engine bearings feature an aluminum bearing alloy bonded to a hard steel backing. These BiMetal aluminum bearings offer greater conformability/embedability as well as greater seizure resistance over the more commonly used Tri-Metal bearings which is why most OE Manufacturers have made the switch to Bi-Metal Aluminum bearings.

While the Bi-Metal Aluminum bearings can not handle the higher loads of a higher horsepower setup, they offer better longevity and reliability due to the aluminum having a better ability to embed foreign object in the oil into the aluminum bearing, keeping those foreign objects from continuing to travel through out your engine, damaging the crankshaft, rods, and any other engine parts exposed to the oil running through your engine. The aluminum can embed foreign objects better than Tri-Metal bearings, and has a greater seizure resistance, it is also the reason it is not recommended for higher horsepower setups.

Bi-Metal Aluminum Bearings are great For stock to 400AWHP setups, and will provide a very long lasting reliable engine. OE manufacturers have spent a lot of time and money to find the best long lasting reliable bearing materials and the reliability of the Bi-Metal Aluminum bearing can not be beat for a stock rebuild.
