Replace your old worn out output shaft with this Hardened and Nitrided Ninja Performance Output Shaft. When the output shaft is worn, so is the input spool. They should be replaced as a pair. If you only replace one or the other, the worn down teeth of the older part damages and accelerates the wear on the newer part causing premature weak and failure. *This Shaft is for a 5 spd AWD 18 spline transaxle and transfer case. Make sure this is the shaft you need. *Made from 8620 Steel *Heat Treated to a hardness of HRC 57-61 This Transaxle Output Shaft is two steps above the OEM part but it is NOT as strong or bullet proof as our 300M Shafts. It can be damaged on higher powered applications, and on repeated hard launches on the street, or with the even more shocking launches at a sticky drag strip. This shaft is a step above our non Nitrided Output Shafter but Know your intended use before purchasing. For a stock powered to mildly upgraded VR4/RTTT in the 400 to 500 AWHP range this setup works well and we have had great results with both customer builds here at our shop and on customer's cars that build them themselves. But be honest with yourself and the cars use and power. If you have higher than 500 or so AWHP and WILL be launching it hard either on the street and or track, we would recommend NOT trying to save a few dollars on this setup. For higher horsepower and track use/launching we would highly recommend stepping up to the Ninja Performance 300M Shaft and Flexor input spool. This requires a 40 ton press. Which we have in our service garage. Choose the Pressing service below and send your old spool to us. We will press off the bearings and gear, press on your gear and bearings on to your new spool and cover the shipping back to you. As with most aftermarket wear items, this Shaft and Input spool kit can not be warrantied due to breakage caused by abuse, hard launches etc and on cars exceeding stock or near stock power. ANY aftermarket high performance part can be damaged when not used on the correct application or if used in a manner it was no intended for. If you are looking for a more bullet proof setup and or have a higher horsepower car and or visit the dragstrip often, we highly recommend the 300M/Flexor shaft and spool combo. While we have been selling these for many years with only 1 failure due to a hard launch with bad engine mounts to add to the trauma, they can fail if abused. Ninja Performance will not be responsible for failure of these wear items unless it is deemed a manufacture defect.
