The NGK #BCR8ES is a Resistor Race plug. Using Resistor Plugs lowers EMI noise that can disrupt sensitive electronics and ignition devices. It is two heat ranges colder for many Japanese import vehicles. When you increase power in your vehicle you need to use a colder plug to deter detonation and help pull heat out of the combustion chamber. These NGK plugs are a NON USA Market spark plug. We import them Direct from NGK Japan as they are not sold in the US Market. For this reason, the cost is a little higher than normal NGK Copper Plugs.
