Regain like new shifting performance by simply adding this bottle of Genuine Mitsubishi OEM Friction Modifier. This is the same Genuine OEM Mitsubishi Friction Modifier found in the Mitsubishi TSB, Technical Service Bulletin, to fix rough, notchy, and or hard to shift 3000GT Stealth transaxles. This will not fix your transaxle if hard parts like engagement teeth on gears or hub/sliders are worn down and need replacement but if synchro friction rings are only partially worn or partially glazed over making them too slippery to grab gears and quickly match them to shaft speed for smooth quick gear engagement causing hard to shift issues, this friction modifier will increase the friction of synchro rings allowing for faster higher rpm smooth shifting. This is one small 7.5ml bottle of Mitsubishi Friction Modifier which is more than enough for one treatment Using too much Friction Modifier can damage your transaxle. It is recommended, even with this very small bottle, to try half of the bottle in your transaxle, then drive a few days allowing it to penetrate all friction rings and see if shifting has been improved. If your transaxle still requires more, add the rest of the bottle into the transaxle. This Friction Modifier is so effective that only this very small amount is required to improve your transaxle's shifting. But the amount is so small we recommend adding it during a transaxle fluid change by treating one of the quarts of Redline MT85, our recommended 3000GT Stealth transaxle fluid, then empty that quart into the transaxle rather than trying to add this small bottle into your transaxle by itself. It will be required to add this Friction Modifier any time the transaxle fluid is changed. If this does not improve your transaxle's shifting there are parts in your transaxle that require replacement due to excessive wear. |
