1st/2nd Gear Hub and Slider assembly with springs and detent balls.
This Includes:
(1) Genuine Getrag/Mitsubishi OEM 6 Speed AWD 1st/2nd Hub and Slider Assembly ONLY. This assembly does not include any synchro rings.
This Hub and Slider Assembly should be replaced if you are servicing the transaxle due to grinding when shifting into 1st or 2nd as that grinding was the engagement teeth on the gear grinding off the engagement teeth on this assembly.
Replacing just the synchro friction rings will not fix the issue if you leave the damaged Hub and Slider Assembly. If you only replace the synchro rings the transaxle will still grind when shifting into these gears due to the damaged/worn engagement teeth.
