3rd/4th Gear Hub and Slider assembly with ring, springs and detent balls.
This Includes:
(1) Genuine Getrag/Mitsubishi OEM 5 Speed AWD 3rd/4th Hub and Slider Assembly.
This Hub and Slider Assembly should be replaced if you are servicing the transaxle due to grinding when shifting into 3rd or 4th as that grinding was the engagement teeth on the gear grinding off the engagement teeth on this assembly.
Replacing just the synchro friction rings will not fix the issue if you leave the damaged Hub and Slider Assembly. If you only replace the synchro rings the transaxle will still grind when shifting into these gears due to the damaged/worn engagement teeth.
