These are the short bolts that hold on the 4 main girdle stay brackets on the 2 bolt TT block. OEM Discontinued 04/2021 but we found perfect higher strength replacements. On higher stressed higher power setups it is highly recommended to replace the OEM bolts with these, our higher strength bolts, during a rebuild as we have proven over a decade ago they help keep the girdle on the block as the pistons/rods push down on the crankshaft which attempts to push the girdle down off and away from the block by flattening the bolt threads and pushing the main girdle off of the block causing catastrophic engine failure. These bolts are a high strength upgrade to the OEM bolts to help the eventual loss of the battle of stripping the threads on the OEM bolts. REPLACE THEM with these higher strength bolts during a rebuild, it is cheap insurance. Since they are a higher Strength Steel they can create a higher clamp load by torqueing 10 ft lbs higher than the OEM bolts. So torque to 45ft lbs. instead of 35 ft lbs. We also were able to find a bolt with a slightly larger flange that still fits perfectly into the bolt head flange impression on the Girdle Stays Helping with a better even clamp load. Also HIGHLY recommended and proven by the Ninja many years ago is the Ninja Performance ARP 2 bolt main stud kit, the stock main bolts need more clamping force above 70 Ft Lbs.
