Mitsubishi 3000GT/Stealth Steering Wheel Adapters
For the 1997 model year Mitsubishi change to a longer steering column along with new redesigned steering wheels. If you try to run a 1997 or later steering wheel in an earlier car the steering wheel will rub on the covers for the steering column due to the shorter steering column. This adapter solves that problem as it sits between the steering wheel and the steering column moving them apart a few millimeters. With this adapter you can also runt the smaller and lighter steering wheels from some Mitsubishi Colt and Evo models in pre-1997 cars. The attached photo shows a reupholstered 2006 Mitsubishi Colt steering wheel mounted in a 1996 model year 3000GT.
Older versions had slots (matching the Colt steering wheels) but the newer versions have holes instead like the 3000GT steering wheels. The change doesn't have any functional difference it's just easier to manufacture them with holes.
