Over the years OEM has switched over to an all Aluminum Rod Bearing for extended reliability/longevity. Clevite/Mahle discontinued the P series rod bearings in favor of the newer designed Aluminum rod bearings.

Aluminum has proven over the past decade to work as a very reliable very high longevity bearing in the daily passenger car environment, BMW has been using aluminum rod bearings for many years with great success. BUT they are NOT for Higher Power Setups.
The Aluminum rod bearings do what they were designed to do, and do it very well but to do that they give up the HIGH HP capabilities the P series tri metal bearing had.

To fill that spot they have the High Performance Series Bearings which we always keep in stock.

This set of Thrust Washers is the correct thickness/specification. Unlike the version made in the Clevite Mexico plant back in 2016 that were made too thick, this set is the newer corrected version.

Clevite was aware of the issue with the Mexico Plant and corrected the issue, having them manufactured in one of their other newer manufacturing plants.
We go the extra step and verify each set is the correct specifications before putting them into our inventory.

Clevite TriMetal P-Series bearings are built on hardened-steel backings with extra-thin overlays

Steel backed bearings with an intermediate layer of copper-lead alloy and an electro-plated lead-base overlay.

The P Series Bearings intended for high-revving engines, especially those where the high rpm cause the rod bores to narrow.

To compensate for this distortion, they have higher eccentricity and a high crush factor.

Choose bearing size.
Standard is for a new or unturned crankshaft.
.25mm/.50mm/.75mm sizes are for crankshafts that have been turned.
Your machine shop will tell you what size you need if they turned the crank.
